There’s a special place in my heart for Yamaha guitars. I bought one last year as a backup guitar, and it has quickly become the favorite in my collection.

The Yamaha FGX830C has many things going for it. After reading this Yamaha FGX830C assessment, I am sure you will see why this guitar is an excellent guitar for the price.

Since it was introduced in the 1960’s, the Yamaha FG has been recognized as just the best acoustic guitar in its league.

Acoustically or plugged in, the FGX830C sounds fantastic! Quality materials, outstanding construction, and stunning value make it too good to miss.

The addition of rosewood back & sides and stunning upgraded cosmetics takes the FGX830C to a new level – both for sound and looks.

If you want a reliable guitar that is going to get better with age, then you should consider the Yamaha FGX830C. One thing I have always loved about Yamaha guitars is their crystal clear tone with bright high-end acoustics. This guitar doesn’t disappoint if you want a great guitar for an inexpensive price.

Bottom Line

I like this guitar and Yamaha’s in general. They are well built. The fretwork is consistent, and the finishes are pleasing to the eye. This is a very playable guitar.

It is perfect for the beginning to the intermediate player or the road player that travels a lot and doesn’t want to risk damage to a thousand dollar guitar.

For under $500.00 this guitar is a real bargain for a quality guitar.
